We’ve been partnering with Messenger Kids this month to share details about their new app (you can read more about our experience and about the safety features here). We also love how fun the app is for kids. It includes tons of kid-appropriate masks and frames, so kids can make funny videos and photos. We’ve been using the app to share the kids’ art projects with our long-distance friends. When they draw or paint something, they can send it (with additional stickers and funny gifs!) through the app to a group of selected friends and family that we choose. You can read more below!
Messenger Kids designed all the features of the app with kids in mind. They can play with the app by themselves, make one-on-one calls, or do group video calls. The app automatically finds the subject’s face, and then you can choose from a bunch of funny filters (the dancing bear was a huge hit!). It’s super safe, because parents approve everyone on their kid’s contact list and messages are never private, so parents can always see what’s being sent back and forth. Plus, there are no ads (your child’s info is never used) and there are no in-app purchases. It’s a fun and interactive way for kids to connect with people who aren’t close by!
