The Assembly passed the recommendations of a house committee, led by leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra, which was looking into Iyer-Mitra’s remarks. The Assembly also asked the state government to provide materials to Iyer-Mitra to educate him about the art, culture, history and people of the state, as suggested by the house panel.
