As Design*Sponge grows and evolves, we’re always trying new things, paying attention to what resonates most with you, and adapting as a team and a platform. We’re about to kick off a new era (and a redesign upgrade to focus on what you want to see most) that includes launching new types of content and bringing back some old favorites we’ve heard many of you miss.
For starters, business and entrepreneurial content will have a more prominent home on D*S once again, and we’ll also be bringing back DIY how-to’s from some of our most beloved contributors.
Grace is back from her creative sabbatical and she’ll be writing features dedicated to our Good Company ethos. Since we launched Good Company Magazine in May of this year (an extension of our book, In the Company of Women), we’ve been seeking out and telling the stories of underrepresented people in the creative community. These inspiring stories will also have a home on D*S now — bringing us weekly business and entrepreneurial content that bridges the worlds of creativity and business.
We’re also happy to report that Grace’s podcast is back! Stay tuned this week for the first episode and more details on the episodes to come this fall (including a live podcast tour starting in October!).
Moving forward, Grace’s main focus will be delivering Good Company, podcast, and “state of the creative community” related features to D*S, and I’ll be overseeing the design core of the site (home tours, Before & After features, DIY content, and more from our amazing team of writers). As always, we wouldn’t be here after 14 years without all of you, and we are so very grateful for your readership — whether you’ve been reading with us for all 14 years or are tuning in now for the first time.
