PESHAWAR: The Transport Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has univocally stated that work on BRT project is in full swing and the responsibility for the construction of infrastructure lies with Peshawar Development Authority, which is according to plan.The secretary transport through a statement said the TransPeshawar was tasked with the responsibility for maintenance and operation of busses in 2017, an official release said. The CEO and other relevant staff were accordingly hired on merit and transparent basis and were tasked to start the operationalisation of busses on priority basis."However, time and again the CEO for TransPeshawar made commitments to bring the vendors on-board but none of this happened on time. Due to consistent non-conformance with timelines, the CEO was asked to leave."
