An anti-terrorist court (ATC) in Islamabad has on Monday declared Tehreek-e-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYRA) chief Khadim Rizvi and his aide Afzal Qadri absconders in Faizabad sit-in case and directed police to arrest both.
The court also ordered police to submit the final challan till April-4.
According to details, the court resumed hearing here in Islamabad today and expressed exasperation over absence of the aforementioned leaders.Later, the hearing was adjourned till April-4.
It is pertinent here to mention that Rizvi, Afzal Qadri, Moulana Anayat and Sheikh Azhar have been nominated in case # 334, 335 and 345.
The Faizabad sit-in—which began in November, 2017—had severely crippled routine-life activities in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. ATC ordered their arrest after both leaders failed to appear despite multiple summons.
